NYPD officials have issued an alert about an assault against an elderly man on the Upper East Side this week. Police are hoping someone from the general public will be able to assist them in identifying and locating the wanted individual.
According to the police report, the incident happened on Thursday at about 3:49 p.m., when an 84-year-old man was assaulted by an unknown suspect in front of 570 Park Avenue (at East 63rd Street).
NYPD sources say the perpetrator “struck him on the right side of his head and shoulder” before fleeing westbound on East 63rd Street towards Madison Avenue to parts unknown.
The victim refused medical attention on scene.
Surveillance footage caught the tail end of the violent confrontation.
