A “small rubbish fire” brought at least five FDNY vehicles and a whole lot of commotion to the Upper East Side on Tuesday night.
An FDNY dispatch recording indicated that the fire was coming from a 22nd floor apartment at 75th and Second Avenue.
Video shared on Citizen App shows firefighters arriving at the scene while onlookers watched from their balconies at the building across the street, alarmed by the flashing lights and sirens.

An officer confirmed that the fire was under control on a second dispatch call recorded shortly after the FDNY arrived. On the same call, he asked if a bus could be sent to the same building, as someone on the 26th floor had twisted their ankle.
