A fire broke out on the roof of an Upper East Side building on Saturday afternoon, and one firefighter was taken to the hospital.

The fire was at 162 East 92nd Street near Third Avenue, on the roof of the four-story building measuring 25 by 75 feet, according to the FDNY. The call came in at 3:09 p.m.Twenty-one units and 79 fire and EMS personnel responded, the department said. The fire was placed under control at 3:45 p.m.
EMS took one firefighter to an area hospital with minor, non-life-threatening injuries, according to the FDNY. The department didn’t release any other information about the firefighter, and its summary of the incident didn’t include a cause.
The fire was also posted to Citizen, where a community member created the alert at 3:17 p.m. The incident page, titled “Flames Erupting From Massive Rooftop Fire; Smoke Seen From a Distance,” has since collected dozens of user videos.
