The annual installation of ghouls and goblins has returned to The Mansion for Halloween. The iconic Upper East Side diner, located at 1634 York Avenue at 86th Street, always adds color to its corner this time of year.
As the now-defunct DNA Info wrote in 2015, “For owner John Philips, dressing up the diner and the building its housed in is an annual Halloween tradition that started in 2006, when he took over management from his family.”
“It’s the most wonderful spooky time of the year! Our annual creepy installation is back, and the dolls are also for sale! Stop by and don’t forget to tag us in any photos!” Mansion Diner wrote on its Instagram page on Saturday.
It’s been a family-owned UES institution since 1945, and we’re glad to see it keeping up with its traditions.
