
One man was found dead, another seriously wounded, in an Upper East Side apartment building on Sunday (Google Maps)
Police got a call at about 1:30 p.m. on Sunday about an assault at 232 East 95th Street, a five-story rental building between Second and Third avenues.

When officers arrived they found an unidentified male, unconscious and unresponsive at the location, with trauma to the chest and neck. EMS responded to the location and pronounced the man deceased at the scene.
A second individual, a 27-year-old male, was present at the scene and sustained lacerations throughout the body. EMS transported him to New York Cornell Hospital in serious but stable condition
Two knives were recovered at the scene and the Office of Chief Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death.
No arrests have been made and an investigation remains ongoing.
According to AMNY, it’s believed that the two men had met through a dating app, and an argument at the Upper East Side apartment escalated into violence. The 27-year-old, according to the outlet, has claimed self-defense.
According to the NY Daily News, the 27-year-old lives in the apartment where the fatal incident took place.
