The NYPD has issued an alert about an attempted robbery which took place earlier this month on the Upper East Side. Police are hoping someone from the public will be able to assist them in identifying and locating the wanted individuals.
According to the police report, the incident happened on Friday, January 3 at approximately 9:43 a.m., when two unidentified individuals entered 1385 York Avenue (between 73rd and 74th streets)–a Glenwood building called The Stratford. The suspects then “simulated a firearm and demanded keys to a vehicle from a 48-year-old male employee.” A verbal dispute preceded a physical altercation, and the suspects fled westbound on East 74th Street.
The victim suffered minor injuries to his hand but refused medical attention.
