NYPD officials have issued an alert about a commercial robbery which took place last month on the Upper East Side. Police are hoping someone from the general public will be able to assist them in identifying and locating the wanted individuals.
According to the police report, five unknown suspects entered the Lululemon at 1127 Third Avenue (at East 66th Street) on Thursday, March 20 at about 6 p.m. and “forcibly removed various items of clothing totaling approximately $2,200.”
The suspects ran off in an unknown direction and nobody was injured, police say.
Lululemon has been a frequent target for robberies over recent years, which some critics claim is the result of the company’s policy against employee intervention (though the athleisure brand is far from alone in this stance).
