The FDNY received a call at about 8:30 a.m. this morning about a 100 gallon fuel spill at 153 East 67th Street, between Third and Lexington avenues–where the NYPD’s 19th Precinct is located.

Twelve units and sixty fire and EMS personnel were deployed to the scene, where operations are ongoing. No injuries have been reported, though multiple reports state that the building had been fully evacuated.

“We’ve located a delivery spill, an overspill” an officer could be heard saying on an early morning dispatch call.

On later calls, officers state that it was gasoline that spilled from an overfilled underground tank which the FDNY began to remove and offload.

It’s unclear what the current status is, but additional units were requested at about 12 p.m.

Videos shared on Citizen show emergency responders at the scene.

We’ll provide updates as we learn more.
