The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who assaulted a 52-year-old woman outside of Butterfield Market at 1114 Lexington Avenue (at 78th Street) this week.
The incident took place at about 7:45am on Wednesday. Just after the unknown suspect walked past the front door, the female victim exited the store, at which point the suspect shoved a stack of milk crates onto her.
The suspect – described by police as “a male with a dark complexion last seen wearing a yellow hooded jacket and blue jeans” – fled southbound on Lexington Avenue on foot.
The victim suffered pain and swelling to her head but is in stable condition.
