On Thursday, March 24 at approximately 4:18pm, police say an unidentified male in his 50s entered the Chase Bank at 201 East 79th Street (at 3rd Ave) and displayed a note demanding money.

Police say the man ended up fleeing by foot in an unknown direction — without taking any money or causing any injuries.
The unsuccessful robbery suspect was last observed wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, black shirt, white mask and carrying a black bag.
Video shared on Citizen App shows police officers responding to the call.
