NYPD authorities have issued an alert about a rape that occurred on the Upper East Side this weekend. Police are hoping someone from the public will be able to help them identify and locate the suspect.
According to the police report, it happened on Saturday at about 3:40 a.m., when an unidentified individual (shown above and below) forcibly entered into the residence of a 29-year-old female in the vicinity of 92nd and First Avenue.
According to AMNY, the suspect entered the victim’s bedroom as she was sleeping and punched her in the face before raping her. She did not know him.
Following the heinous attack, the suspect fled by foot in an unknown direction.
The victim was transported to Lenox Hill Hospital in stable condition.
The NYPD’s Manhattan Special Victims Squad is investigating.
