Man Robbed, Hit with “Metal Object” on 5 Train

When a man in his 30s was riding an uptown 5 train on Monday afternoon, a bit before 5pm, police say two ‘adult males’ bumped into him, took his cellphone, pushed him to the ground and “hit him with an unknown metal object.”

The two suspects, also male, fled the location and exited the train station.

EMS transported the victim to NYC Health & Hospitals in Harlem. While he was in stable condition, he did sustain an injury — which NYPD sources say may have been a broken leg.

No arrests have been made at this time and an investigation remains ongoing.
