Man Robs TD Bank After Talking to Employee About Opening Business Account

A Thursday morning bank robbery took place on the Upper East Side this week (h/t Patch), and the robber made out with $661.

The male suspect targeted the TD Bank at 1110 Third Avenue at the corner of East 65th Street. NYPD officials say the incident occurred at 9:12 a.m.

According to the police report, he walked in and initially spoke with a bank employee about opening a business account.

Once that conversation was over, he approached a bank teller and slid them a note which read “Give me the money.” The teller handed over the $661 and the suspect left.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing. According to Patch, the suspect was unarmed.
