A 25-year-old male victim told the NYPD that at 7pm on February 10, while driving on the FDR Drive at around East 89th Street, an older male pointed a firearm at him.
Officers responded and canvassed the area for the suspect, whom they quickly found and took into custody. The suspect, 53-year-old Julio Sanchez, was found to be in possession of a loaded gun.
Sanchez β who the 19th Precinct says is a “Parolee & lifelong criminal” β was arrested and charged with Menacing and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
According to public records, Sanchez is due in court on February 16 at 9:00am.
