This week, NYPD officials issued alerts about two separate assaults against elderly victims on the Upper East Side. Police are hoping someone from the public will be able to assist them in identifying and locating the wanted individuals.
One of those reported assaults happened on Saturday, November 16 at about 12:45 p.m., when an “unidentified male knocked an 84-year-old female victim to the ground in front of 188 East 86th Street,” police say. The suspect fled on foot north on Third Avenue and the victim was treated at the scene by EMS. Police have released surveillance photos and this video.

The second reported assault took place on Wednesday, October 2 at about 10:30 a.m. Police say a 75-year-old male was on an M102 bus near 96th and Lexington Avenue when an unidentified male suspect “punched him in the head multiple times” before running off the bus in an unknown direction. “The victim sustained lacerations to the head and traveled by private means to an area hospital for treatment,” police say.
Earlier this month, it was also reported that an 84-year-old man had been assaulted on 63rd and Park Avenue.
