The NYPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating an unknown suspect wanted for a menacing incident last month.
It happened on June 25 at about 2:30am. Two men, aged 57 and 52, were walking around East 63rd Street and Fifth Avenue.
The suspect — an unknown male shown in the video below — approached the two, made anti-gay statements, and displayed a hammer in a threatening manner, according to an NYPD report.
Following the encounter, the suspect fled into Central Park in an unknown direction.
No injuries were reported as a result of this incident, and the NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is undergoing an investigation.
