Upper East Side High-Rise Fire Injures 5

A total of 78 firefighters and EMS workers were called to the scene of a sixteenth floor fire Monday afternoon, according to an FDNY spokesperson.

The blaze took place at 205 East 92nd Street (between Second and Third avenues), a 40-story rental building called The Easton.

The FDNY was called to the scene at 12:50 p.m. and deemed the fire under control by 1:35 p.m. Video of the emergency response was taken and shared on Citizen.

Five individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries, with three of them being transported to area hospitals.
