Woman Slashed in Subway Station: Police Alert

NYPD officials have issued an alert about an assault that took place earlier this week at an Upper East Side subway station. Police are hoping someone from the public will be able to assist them in identifying and locating the wanted individual.

The incident took place on Monday, Feb. 5 at about 6:15 p.m. inside the subway station at 86th and Lexington Avenue, when a 28-year-old female was approached by an unknown suspect and slashed “across the left cheek and right eyebrow with a box cutter.”

Police say the victim was transported by EMS to New York-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition, while the unknown suspect fled the station by foot.
