Early Thursday morning traffic delays followed the opening of an enormous sinkhole on 89th between York and East End Avenues. This comes just days after two cars were found submerged in an Upper West Side sinkhole.
Council Member Ben Kallos announced late Thursday morning that water has been shut off at two nearby buildings, and that Con Ed is also investigating the situation.
