NYU Langone Care on Demand opened at 1465 Third Avenue (at 83rd Street) on August 26. The “new and appointment-free way for New Yorkers to receive care from the system’s world-class network” debuted on both the UES and in the West Village; both locations are “available to new and existing NYU Langone patients alike,” a press release states, adding that “Unlike urgent care facilities, which treat acute illnesses, Care on Demand focuses on primary care, with clinicians at each location able to treat” common health issues.

Morelia Gourmet Paletas is now open at 1435 First Avenue (between 74th and 75th streets). As we mentioned when we spotted signage earlier this year, Morelia serves three types of paletas (which are similar to popsicles): fruity (including strawberry, pineapple-mint, and mango); creamy (including cookies and cream with Oreo, Sicilian pistachio, and chocolate hazelnut); and filled creamy (which are filled with ingredients like condensed milk, Nutella, and Reese’s peanut butter cups). You can also dip your paleta and add toppings, such as sprinkles or their signature s’mores, or eat your paleta as part of an ice cream sandwich or a waffle-wrapped burrito.

Club Pilates is opening a new location at 1181 Second Avenue (at 62nd Street). We heard from @UESthings that they’ll be soft-launching on September 15. Club Pilates has another location on 89th and First Avenue.
Casasalvo, which we first wrote about here, will be opening at 1491 Second Avenue (at 78th Street) on September 19, according to a press release. The Italian espresso bar and specialty market made its debut on the Upper West Side in May and the UES location will come with an “expanded menu, including breakfast items like avocado toast and eggs benedict as well as high-quality pasta dishes. Customers can also enjoy additional seating indoors and outdoors.” One of Casasalvo’s biggest draws is its affordability, with coffees starting at $2.50.
Wasn’t able to access a menu with prices at the Casasalvo web site, but hope the rest of the items are “affordable” as well.
