In celebration of its 95th anniversary, Godiva will be sending its pink truck around the city to give out free samples. And it’ll be wheeling to The Met on Saturday from 12-5pm. (Thanks to @cynstahgram for the tip!).

Saturday’s forecast (as of writing) shows a high of 72 degrees, so that’s pretty good chocolate eating weather; no melting truffles expected.
According to candyindustry.com, Godiva founder Pierre Draps began utilizing bright pink trucks after World War II. “In an effort to lift people’s spirits, he had GODIVA’s delivery trucks painted pink, a color that soon became synonymous with spreading happiness during a dark and difficult time.”
The pink truck first arrived to the city on Wednesday on West 57th Street.
