Community Board 8 agenda notes list several new bars and restaurants applying for liquor licenses. These applications will be discussed during a committee meeting on Zoom scheduled for June 1 at 6:30pm. To attend the Zoom meeting, click here.
One standout from the list is Seamore’s, an NYC seafood restaurant applying for its liquor license at 1270 Third Avenue, at the corner of 73rd Street. This space was previously occupied by Papyrus, which announced in January 2020 that it would be closing all of its stores.
Popular menu items include Baja fish tacos, lobster rolls, local oysters, lobster mac ‘n cheese and tuna poke.

The owner of Seamore’s is Michael Chernow, who according to the restaurant’s website “started working in restaurants as a teenager on New York City’s Upper East Side.” Chernow is also a co-founder of The Meatball Shop.
We’ve reached out to Seamore’s for more info and we’ll provide an update once we know more. Learn about the restaurant at www.seamores.com.
