Capriotti’s, a sandwich-chain which expanded to the Upper East Side earlier this year, was recently given some special spotlight for its Thanksgiving sandwich – known to fans as the “Bobbie.” The hearty sub is made with mayo, turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce, and was the featured dish on the latest episode of “Respect The Chain,” Sam Goldberg’s dedication to chain restaurants across the country.
Soon after discovering the joys of post-Thanksgiving sandwiches from his buddy, former “Fonzie” Henry Winkler, Goldberg set out to find and consume the best one. So he headed over to Capriotti’s UES outpost at 1711 Second Avenue (between 88th and 89th streets), which opened back in May.
Capriotti’s 2nd Ave location is open daily from 11am-10pm. Learn more and view the full menu at www.capriottis.com.
