The NYPD was alerted on Saturday, June 19 at 7:37pm that a car had collided with a bicyclist near 82nd and 3rd Avenue.
The 25 year old male driver of a 2016 Honda was headed eastbound on 82nd Street when he collided with a 22 year old male riding a bicycle northbound.
Video of the incident, shared on Citizen App, shows an ambulance from Lenox Hill Hospital and an FDNY truck as officers responded to the scene, alongside a number of passersby who had stopped to see what was happening. The video appears to have been taken from a nearby apartment.
The NYPD says the bike rider was taken to New York Hospital. When we asked about his condition (about one week after the incident) we were told it did not appear critical.
