The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual who carried out a Christmas morning assault on the Upper East Side
The incident took place on December 25 at approximately 12:30am. An unknown male suspect approached an 81-year-old male near East 86th Street and Henderson Place, and without provocation, pushed him to the ground.
Surveillance video shows the victim out with his dog, speaking to a fellow dog-owner (who also had a stroller in tow).
The suspect walked in between them, assaulted the senior and kept walking, turning around to give his victim the middle-finger once further down the street.
NYPD sources describe the suspect as “an adult male, medium complexion, wearing blue jeans, a blue hooded sweatshirt, [and] a red t-shirt.” The video, released by the NYPD on Wednesday, also shows him wearing headphones and holding a beverage.
While the victim sustained minor injuries to his hand, hip and shoulder, he refused medical attention.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
