Police are looking for a male suspect wanted in connection with an incident of aggravated harassment which took place on the UES last month. The NYPD is hoping someone from the general public will be able to help them in identifying and locating the individual.

According to the police report, the incident happened on Saturday, July 27 at about 4:10 p.m.

When a 65-year-old man was walking in the vicinity of 68th and Fifth Avenue, an unidentified individual “approached him and made anti-semantic remarks,” police say. Multiple reports detailed the suspect shouting “Hitler was right.” Police say the suspect also pulled down his face mask and spat on the victim’s face before fleeing towards Madison Avenue on foot.

There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident, which is being investigated as a hate crime.

Police describe the suspect as “a male with medium complexion [who] was last seen wearing black pants, [a] black hat and a multicolored shirt.”

Anyone with relevant information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
