ABC 7 reports that three MTA workers came to the aid of a suicidal man on the subway platform at the 86th and Lexington Avenue station.
A man sitting near the edge of the platform ended up jumping onto the tracks.
At this point, one MTA employee instructed another to hit the emergency alarm box, which stopped the oncoming train.
A third employee then alerted the booth agent and rail control center, while his colleague waited with the distressed man until the NYPD arrived.
