NYPD Seek Man For Tackling Female, Stealing Wallet

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual for committing a robbery on 87th and Second Ave earlier this month.

On Thursday, March 3 at approximately 10:33pm, a male suspect approached a 23-year-old female from behind and tackled her to the ground. He then proceeded to remove the victim’s wallet, which contained credit cards and $10 in cash. The victim refused medical attention.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website or by sending a direct message to @NYPDTips on Twitter. A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for tips which lead to the man’s arrest, and all calls are strictly confidential.
