The NYPD is investigating an assault which took place on Tuesday, June 22 at approximately 1:30pm between 89th and 90th Streets on 2nd Avenue. The address of the incident, which is being investigated as a hate crime, was 1735 2nd Avenue, where Mexican restaurant Móle is located.

Police told Patch that the woman said “Get that fa**ot sh*t off your neck,” referring to the rainbow-colored face mask the man was wearing, before fleeing on foot.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned woman with short hair, last seen wearing dark clothing, white sandals and a black backpack.
Police Commissioner Dermot Shea recently noted that there have been over 300 reports of hate crimes so far this year.
