The NYPD 19th Precinct sent a tweet at 2:48pm Monday about an active police investigation taking place on East 95th between Park and Lexington Avenues, advising those in the area to expect a heavy police presence and potential street closures.

About one hour later, the NY Post reported that a shooting had taken place on the block just before 2:30pm. The Post writes the victim was a 20 year old male who was shot in the stomach while sitting in a car. The unknown man was then rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police told the publication that the suspect fled the scene in a white sedan.
The incident was also reported on Citizen App, which includes a segment of the police investigation.
