NYPD officials say the incident took place on Thursday, March 13 at about 9:24 p.m., when the suspect smashed the front window with a pole and entered the store. Police say he then stole two purses, one vanity case, one wallet and one card holder, which collectively were valued at approximately $12,900.

The suspect then fled on foot eastbound on East 65th Street toward Park Avenue.

Police describe the suspect as a male in his 30s with a dark complexion and a black beard, adding that he’s about 6’2″ and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing black jogging clothes, a white vest, a white baseball hat and black sandals. There is no arrest and the investigation remains ongoing.

The same store was targeted back in October, when two thieves took sledgehammers to the windows and stole over $30,000 worth of handbags.
