Three young men are wanted for their involvement in what police are calling a ‘robbery pattern’ after targeting two female senior citizens this month. Police have issued an alert about the suspects, hoping someone from the public can help them identify and locate the wanted individuals.
The first incident took place at a Dunkin’ Donuts at 1006 First Avenue (between 55th and 56th streets) on Monday, January 13 at about 12:05 p.m. According to the police report, “three unidentified individuals forcibly removed a wallet from the hands of a 71-year-old female victim and fled the scene on foot to parts unknown. There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident.”

The following day at about 12:15 p.m., two of the suspects reportedly “removed a purse from a 68-year-old female and threatened to shoot the victim’s husband.” This incident took place in front of 1550 First Avenue (at 81st Street, the address of Gracie Mews Diner). The duo fled and there were no reported injuries as a result of this incident.
Police have provided almost identical descriptions for the three suspects: all are described as 5’8″ males with dark complexions, aged between 15 and 20 years old.
