On Saturday at about 2:50pm, police responded to a 911 call about a stolen car near 63rd and Third Ave.
The owner of the car told police he saw the suspect get inside his 2018 Toyota, at which point he approached the thief and tried to stop him from fleeing by grabbing onto the vehicle. He was then “dragged for a short distance.”
The suspect fled and is currently at large. Police describe him as a a male with dark complexion, approximately 30 years of age, 160 pounds and last seen wearing a white shirt.
EMS transported the victim to a local area hospital in stable condition.

A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for tips which lead to the man’s arrest, and all calls are strictly confidential.
