An individual convicted of murdering an Upper East Side resident in 2020 has admitted to another murder.
It was revealed during a plea hearing at the Manhattan Supreme Court this Monday that Alex Ray Scott, who transitioned to female after her incarceration, had confessed to a second killing at the time of her arrest.
On January 29, 2020, the body of 64-year-old antiques dealer Kenneth Savinski was discovered in his East 83rd Street apartment near Lexington Avenue. He had multiple wounds and a slit throat, leading to his immediate pronouncement of death at the scene; the incident was ruled a homicide. The following day, Alex Ray Scott entered a Manhattan police precinct and told detectives, “I think I may have killed someone last night,” after meeting Mr. Savinski on a dating app.

Scott was initially charged with the murder and robbery of Mr. Savinski, followed by a spending spree. She was also wanted in Oklahoma on molestation charges at the time and had traveled to New York intending to commit suicide. Upon her arrest, Scott claimed to have little recollection of the preceding days, including the murder.
During Monday’s court session, it was also disclosed that Scott admitted to the earlier murder and dismemberment of 63-year-old Robin Skocdopole in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. This incident occurred in 2019 while she was renting a room from Mr. Skocdopole. Scott fatally assaulted him with a hammer and then dismembered his body using chainsaws, scattering the remains across various local areas.
Scott, who appeared markedly different from the bearded man arrested four years prior, now with long hair and heavy false eyelashes, accepted a plea deal. She will serve 22 years for the murder of Kenneth Savinski and, upon potential release, will face 45 years in Oklahoma for Robin Skocdopole’s murder. Sentencing for Mr. Savinski’s murder is scheduled for September 26 in Manhattan.
Tragic that these two people met such a needless and then brutal end.
And who paid for the gender transition while incarcerated. New York tax payers??
