A water main break caused a street closure on 3rd Avenue between 79th and 80th Streets at about 7:30am on Thursday morning.

Another angle showed the flood invading the outdoor dining space at Luke’s Bar & Grill at 1394 Third Avenue.

FDNY and crews from Con Edison and the Department of Environmental Conservation responded to the scene, though it’s not yet known what exactly caused the break.

As of this morning, the street closure extended to about 78th to 82nd Streets, CBS reports, and some buildings in the area were without water.
This flood comes after a gush of water went flying skywards on 87th and York in late July.
