Adrian Kercuku, the chef behind da Adriano, has opened a second Upper East Side restaurant. La Collina is an Italian bar, ristorante and pizzeria now serving lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

The new restaurant just opened at 1431 First Avenue, between 74th and 75th streets, in the space most recently held by Gnocchi House Bar. We first reported the restaurant was coming to the block in July. The menu covers a lot of ground. There are antipasti and salads, about a dozen pastas and risottos, fish and meat entrées, and a list of pizzas split between red and white. A few things stand out: a bluefin tuna tartare with watermelon and basil, a pappardelle alla chiantigiana made with cocoa nib pasta and slow-cooked braised beef, and a white pizza built on stracciatella, truffle cream and white truffle oil. The kitchen also does the classics you’d expect, including cacio e pepe, linguine alle vongole, veal scaloppine and a bone-in ribeye.

There’s a two-course prix fixe lunch for $35, Monday through Friday. Brunch runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with eggs, pancakes and avocado toast in the $18 to $20 range, plus a cocktail list that includes a house spritz and a zero-proof limonata with elderflower and ginger beer. Dessert is tiramisu, panna cotta, affogato and the like, alongside a deep list of amari and grappa.

La Collina is open Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Menus and online ordering are on its website.
