Patch writes that over 30 artists will be displaying their work, some of which will be for sale, and that attendees will get to enjoy a musical performance by students from Talent Unlimited High School, located at 300 East 68th Street.
In late April, CB8 put out a call for artists from the Upper East Side and Roosevelt Island to participate in the event – which will be themed “New York City Blooming.”
The show is being sponsored by City Canvas, a new initiative by Community Board 8. City Canvas’ goal is to expand cultural events featuring Upper East Siders, and this will be its inaugural event.
Art and Music on the East Side will take place both Saturday and Sunday, June 12 and 13, from 12-6pm each day.
