The Upper East Side is home to many great bakeries like Orwashers and William Greenberg Desserts, and this week, the neighborhood welcomed Breads Bakery to join the ranks! With locations near Union Square, Lincoln Center and Bryant Park, Breads is moving on up with its newest spot at 1294 Third Avenue, between 74th and 75th Streets (previously occupied by Maison Kayser).
Breads Bakery opened its first flagship location in 2013 at 18 East 16th Street and has been growing ever since. Their babka is world-famous, and Breads is now looking to add some additional contenders to the mix.
This location is offering a few new treats – including a Black and White Cookie made with a croissant base! New York City is home to a lot of innovative baked goods (cronuts from Dominique Ansel, crullers from Daily Provisions, etc) – and we know this one will be a star too.
The opening of Breads Bakery comes at a perfect time as the store is offering Thanksgiving and Hanukkah pre-orders: everything from pie to challah to babka and so much more to fulfill all of your holiday dining needs! Thanksgiving Pre-Orders are available from November 21 through November 23.
A few seasonal items include:
- Savory Squash Tart
- Cranberry Gouda Rolls
- Sweet Potato Rolls
- Harvest Babka
- Festive Challah
- Potato Latkes
- & tons of Sufganiyot options!
Hours of operation are 7am to 8pm, seven days a week. Learn more at breadsbakery.com/location/1294/.
