Dough Doughnuts Makes Upper East Side Debut

Artisanal favorite Dough Doughnuts has officially opened its Upper East Side location, about four months after signage was first spotted at 1119 Lexington Avenue (between 77th and 78th streets). A Saturday post on Dough’s Instagram feed confirmed the long-awaited debut along with some opening weekend deals for the first customers to walk through the door.

Dough first made waves in 2010 when it opened in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn in 2010. With its colossal doughnuts coming in a variety of both classic and unique flavors, the brand was quickly able to attain chain status after opening its first Manhattan location in 2015, in the Flatiron district. Since then, it has opened up doughnut shops in Rockefeller Center, in addition to a space at Williamsburg’s Smorgasburg market, as well as two kiosks in Grand Central Station and Times Square.

Dough is known for both its permanent and rotating, seasonal menu. In addition to its classic Glazed and Nutella flavors, Dough also offers doughnut connoisseurs year-round options like Hibiscus, Passion Fruit and Blueberry Lemon.

But its seasonal and other special flavors are where Dough really shines; currently on offer are flavors such as White Chocolate Peppermint and Peanut Butter Chocolate with honey roasted peanuts and s’mores, among others. Last September, Dough even introduced a doughnut version of the increasingly popular and viral Dubai chocolate pistachio flavor.

Dough’s Upper East Side location is open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends.
