Last modified on June 16th, 2021

Maman, a popular French bakery and cafe with locations throughout NYC (and a couple in Canada), has announced it will be opening a location at 1424 3rd Avenue, between 80th and 81st Streets. (Thanks to ‘Upper West Sider’ for the tip.) The last tenant to occupy this space was Irving Farm Coffee Roasters.

The Instagram post doesn’t specify when exactly the new location will open, but it does say “soon.”

Maman’s menu comes with sandwiches and salads, breakfast platters, coffee and tea, and of course a whole bunch of baked goods.

Maman is especially popular for its cookies: salted nutella crunch, brown butter coconut oatmeal and nutty chocolate chip.

The bakery also offers to-go items including a cookie dough kit and jams.

Founders Benjamin Sormonte and Elisa Marshall first opened Maman in Soho in 2014. It’s since become a household name for both its kitchen offerings and the rustic decor of its locations.
