The NYPD has released images and video footage of the man suspected of carrying out the shooting which took place on Monday, April 26 on 95th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues.

The NYPD’s 19th Precinct announced its initial investigation shortly after the incident took place, closing the street to traffic.

The victim of the shooting was soon identified as a 20 year old male who was shot while sitting in an SUV. The victim was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital but died from his injuries.

It was later revealed that the victim had been shot by the passenger sitting next to him – who then exited the vehicle and fled uptown. The driver and front-seat passenger drove off but were apprehended and taken into custody.

It was also reported that a large bag of marijuana had been found in the back seat, leading police sources to tell the NY Daily News that the shooting may have been the result of a “drug deal gone bad.”

The 19th Precinct has now stated that the shooting took place in front of 131 West 95th Street, and has released the following photos and video of the suspect.

Police are offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest.
