UES Mutual Aid Network – “a group of people on the UES and Yorkville dedicated to serving our neighbors in need” – are setting up a free toy store for kids aged 3-9 this weekend.

The event will take place at Church of the Holy Trinity at 316 East 88th Street on Saturday, December 18 from 11am-3pm.

Each child will get to take one toy home with them, and the organizers from UES Mutual Aid Network sent out this Amazon wish list so locals could contribute.

“Items include LEGO sets, Operation, a singing Elmo doll, Dinosaur figures, scratch-paper art sets and spirographs,” wrote Patch.

In other heart-warming holiday news, the annual “Miracle on 73rd Street” celebration took place on Wednesday at the Ronald McDonald House, located at 405 East 73rd Street. Santa Clause was hoisted up with the help of the FDNY and NYPD to surprise pediatric cancer patients through their windows.
