The Encore Chorale of New York City East meets on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., hosted at the welcoming Park Avenue United Methodist Church on E 86th Street. Under the skilled direction of Bernadette Hoke, a respected conductor with a rich musical background, participants will spend 22.5 hours preparing for an exhilarating end-of-semester performance across the season. There is no need to audition or read music—just a love for singing and a desire to connect are all required!
New York City ROCKS is your go-to group for those who revel in rock ‘n’ roll! Designed for older adults passionate about the hits of the 50s, 60s, and beyond, this group meets at the same location on Tuesdays from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Participants will enjoy singing beloved tunes while expanding their social circle.
Encore Creativity, established in 2007, is the nation’s largest choral arts organization for older adults, with over 40 ensembles nationwide.
