Exactly one year after its highly anticipated grand opening at 1118 First Avenue (between 61st and 62nd streets), Rodney’s Comedy Club is ringing in the new year with comedy, music, food and drink!
The New Year’s Eve party (and anniversary celebration) will run from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. and feature four hilarious comics–Emma Wilmann (Comedy Central), Kyle Gordon (Netflix), Mark Lawrence and Connor King–plus live music by popular indie pop band Sunny Side Up! Here’s their Spotify channel.
Tickets are $70 for general admin, $125 for open bar access, and $199 for VIP tickets with unlimited access to their premium open bar, appetizers, and a one-year pass to all the shows at Rodney’s…
The opening of Rodney’s was celebrated not just as a new comedy club but as the revival of an iconic space. Since 1969, it had been home to Dangerfield’s, the self-deprecating comic’s eponymous club where some of the greats performed: George Carlin, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Roseanne Barr and beyond. Rodney Dangerfield passed in 2004 and the club shut down in 2020 amidst the pandemic.
Since opening, Rodney’s has gotten stellar reviews and has clearly kept the spirit of Dangerfield’s alive. Get in on the laughs and book your spot for New Year’s! Tickets are here (use promo code EASTSIDEFEED for a $25 discount).
