Jones Road Beauty is opening a store on 81st and Madison Avenue (h/t @uptown_girls_ues). The makeup and skincare company founded by Bobbi Brown has seven total locations, according to its website, with three of them in NYC (Greenwich Village, Williamsburg and Cobble Hill). Their online store is categorized by products for the face, lips, eyes and skin, with best sellers including their Miracle Balm ($38) and Face Pencil ($25).

Malta Coffee recently opened at 1045 Lexington Avenue (between 74th and 75th streets). “Step into Malta Coffee and experience the warmth of the Mediterranean!” the new shop wrote on its Instagram page. “Inspired by the charm of Maltese culture, we bring you fresh, flaky pastries and perfectly brewed coffee in a cozy, inviting space.” The new spot has positive reviews so far, with a Google score of 4.8 out of 5 stars. People seem to appreciate both the refreshments and the cozy atmosphere, which features an exposed brick wall and floral designs.

Gilded Ritual is opening a location on the Upper East Side this spring, according to the Russian nail salon’s Instagram bio (h/t @UESthings). Gilded Ritual offers Russian manicures and pedicures as well as Japanese naked manicures; they’ve got descriptions of all three on their website. They’ve currently got a single location in Tribeca, and we’ve reached out to them for the address of their forthcoming UES spot.
A new Citizens Bank is being built out at 1510 Second Avenue at East 79th Street, according to permits posted in the windows. The building, whose residential address is 300 East 79th Street, is a full-service condo which was built in 2008. We’ve reached out to a Citizens Bank press person to inquire about the future space’s footprint. This will be the third Citizens Bank branch location in the neighborhood, adding to the locations at 186 East 86th Street and 1340 Third Avenue.
