Bright green “No Parking – Film Shoot” signs have gone up along a stretch of the Upper East Side. The production is Netflix’s latest series drawn from Harlan Coben’s bestselling novels, and it’ll be filming in the neighborhood for most of the day on Wednesday, September 9.

The show is Myron Bolitar, Netflix’s adaptation of Harlan Coben’s long-running mystery novels, and it’ll be shooting in and around East 78th Street and Park Avenue, according to signage shared with @OLV. Flyers posted on the block list filming hours of roughly 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, and warn that vehicles left on the permitted streets after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8 will be towed to a nearby block. Parking spaces will be released back to the public once the production’s trucks are in place, according to the notice.Myron Bolitar stars Colin Woodell (The Continental) as the title character, a former college basketball star whose NBA career ended abruptly with an injury and who has since reinvented himself as a sports agent, according to Netflix. KJ Apa (Riverdale) plays his best friend and partner Win Lockwood, and Diane Guerrero (Orange Is the New Black) plays Esperanza Diaz, a former pro wrestler turned right hand at his agency. The guest cast includes Bebe Neuwirth and Griffin Dunne as Myron’s parents, Melissa Benoist, Ben McKenzie and Jamie Hector.
David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies, Presumed Innocent) and Kyle Long (Suits) are the showrunners, and Coben is an executive producer. Netflix says the character has appeared in 12 of Coben’s novels, starting with 1995’s Deal Breaker, and that this is the latest project in a partnership that’s already produced 11 series adaptations of his books, including Fool Me Once and Run Away.
Production began in New York City in late July. Netflix hasn’t announced a release date.
