Saturday was the first of two Spring at Aycock celebrations hosted by Friends of the East River Esplanade at the Alice Aycock Pavillion at East 60th Street on the East River.
Free ice cream pops were provided by Mexican ice cream purveyor La Newyorkina; live music was performed by French Cookin’ Blues Band; and Craft Studio, which has a location at 1657 Third Ave. at 93rd Street, set up some wonderful arts and crafts activities for the little ones.

This outdoor shindig will take place again on Saturday, June 11 from 1-4pm — with musical guest Gene Casey and the Lone Sharks and ice cream from A La Mode.
Friends of East River Esplanade have been organizing these outdoor events since the pavilion was renovated in 2018; Board Chair Jennifer Ratner, M.D. tells East Side Feed they expect to be back for more fun in the fall.
