$1 Million Lawsuit Over Harassment Allegations at Upscale Salon

A 22 year old female hair stylist at Rita Hazan Salon alleges that her male supervisor sexually harassed her and that the East Side salon did nothing to help, the New York Post reports.

Located at 720 Fifth Avenue, the upscale salon is known for its celebrity clientele and very high prices.

Taylor Morales told the Post that her supervisor, Michael “Adrian” Wallace, would frequently touch her inappropriately – to the point in which uncomfortable customers would ask her if she was okay – and that he would send her sexually charged text messages.

Her claim, which seeks a $1 million payout, also states that he would reprimand her by yelling and throwing things when he thought she had made a mistake on the job.

In addition to not taking her reports of harassment seriously, Morales also claims that Rita Hazan, the salon’s owner, stiffed her out of thousands of dollars by doctoring records.

Wallace’s bio states that his “accomplishments include The Oprah Winfrey Show, America’s Next Top Model, Elle, Vogue, Essence, Shape, Self, and Town & Country magazines.”

Rita Hazan’s well-known clientele have included Jessica Simpson, Martha Stewart and Beyonce.
