Another group of Upper East Side buildings is due to be demolished.

The four buildings, located at 1410-1418 Third Avenue (between East 80th and 81st streets) and 185 East 80th Street (between Third and Lexington avenues), are owned by the Wilf family, which is behind Skyline Developers, according to Crain’s New York Business. The firm filed permits last week with the DOB to demolish the buildings, all of which are mixed-use low-rises constructed between 1910 and 1925.

The three buildings on Third Avenue are made up of either six or 12 residential units and have commercial space on the ground floor. The Italian restaurant Tiramisu used to be at 1410 Third Avenue before moving to its current location at 1643 Second Avenue, between 85th and 86th streets, after the building was purchased by Skyline in 2023.

The building on East 80th Street, meanwhile, has six residences and two commercial spaces. Only one of the ground floor commercial spaces is still occupied, by Charles Locksmith; the other one was formerly rented out by Manhattan Cleaners, which has since closed.

According to city records, Leonard Wilf acquired all four buildings in 2022 for a total of $50.1 million.

It remains to be seen what Skyline, whose entire property portfolio is based in Manhattan, is going to do with the properties; East Side Feed reached out to the company but has yet to hear back.

This block is just the latest to face the wrecking ball on the UES. Last month, the Stahl Organization submitted plans to demolish an 82-unit rental building at 1221 York Avenue (between 65th and 66th streets). In January, permits were filed to knock down two separate stretches of buildings on Second Avenue–first a group of three buildings, then a group of five.
