Women’s clothing store Shari Tata will soon have its grand opening at 976 Lexington Avenue, between 71st and 72nd streets.
Shari (aka Tata), the designer of Shari Tata, decided to go back to school in her 50s to study fashion at Parsons. She started the company 4 years ago selling online and at artisan markets like Grand Bazaar and Artists and Fleas.
“The store offers quality made clothing that is classy but for today’s woman. Fun, flirty, sexy, and sweet – Shari Tata is clothing for women who love to be noticed!”
Shari’s daughter Morgan, an attorney, is joining the company as COO, handling the day-to-day details of running a store. For updates, follow @shari_tata_ on Instagram.

Crain’s New York Business reports that Sage & Sound — “a new wellness destination” — will be opening at 1481 Third Ave at 84th Street (formerly a Duane Reade) this fall.
The space will “[bring] together a group of health and beauty operators to provide manicures, massages and similar services” under one roof, writes Crain’s, with seven total partners. Services will also include “a cult-favorite lymphatic drainage massage,” and a retail area will offer skin care, sexual health, CBD products and more.
There isn’t much info on Sage & Sound’s website, but you can follow them on Instagram at @sageandsoundnyc.
